Getting started

Once you have downloaded the file, simply open it in any web browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge all work perfectly. No internet connection is needed after download, and there is nothing to install. The app works on phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.

Choosing a topic

Along the top you will see coloured buttons for each of the six grammar topics. Tap or click any topic to jump straight to those cards. Once inside a topic, a second row of buttons appears so you can drill down into a specific subtopic — for example, choosing just "Apostrophes" within Punctuation, or just "Prefixes" within Vocabulary. To go back to all topics at once, tap the grey "All topics" button.

Using the flashcards

Each card shows a question on the front along with a small hint to nudge your child in the right direction. Tap or click the card to flip it and reveal the full answer along with examples. Once your child has seen the answer, two buttons appear: "Got it" if they answered correctly, or "Review again" if they need more practice. This helps the score tracker at the top stay accurate.

Tracking progress

The four boxes at the top show how many cards are in the current deck, how many have been answered correctly, how many need reviewing, and an overall score percentage. The coloured progress bar also fills up as you work through the deck. Use the Reset score button at any time to start fresh.

Shuffle and focus

Hit the Shuffle button to randomise the order of cards — great for keeping revision feeling fresh. If your child has a particular weak spot, filter down to just that subtopic and practise those cards repeatedly before moving back to the full deck.

Tips for best results

• Short, regular sessions of 10–15 minutes work better than one long sitting
• Use the "Review again" button honestly — it's not about getting through the cards quickly, it's about actually learning them
• Try saying the answer out loud before flipping the card
• Work through the full deck once, then use the subtopic filters to revisit any areas that scored low
• In the weeks before SATs, focus on one topic per day rather than everything at once
